Master of Music 2024
Extraordinary admissions master of music SUMMER SEMESTER 2024
The Barenboim-Said Akademie will open an extraordinary application cycle for the new Master of Music program starting Summer Semester 2024 (March 18, 2024). Consult all details in the following below. Applications will be accepted from June 1 to July 20, 2023.
This extraordinary application cycle and enrollment period only applies for the Master of Music this upcoming 2023-24 Academic Year. Applications for all four programs of study at the Akademie will open again regularly in the fall of 2023 for the following academic year (2024-25). All information will be updated by October 2023.
The Barenboim-Said Akademie is seeking for a select number of students for the new Master of Music program, starting Summer Semester 2024. Applications are open for all studios.
Required Information and Documents:
Personal Information: Full name, contact details, citizenship(s), address and emergency contact information.
Addresses and dates of study at high school; previous university and/or current university.
Pre-screening videos/music scores (please consult “Audition and pre-screening repertoire” for further information)
Proof of English as a Foreign Language skills to be submitted by the audition date (TOEFL Essentials, TOEFL iBT, TOEFL ITP, Academic IETLS, Cambridge Certificate or Linguaskill General). For further information please refer to the FAQs and Resources page.
Response to short essay questions
PDF copies of academic transcripts and certificates. If you are currently enrolled at a higher education institution, we would additionally require a recent enrollment certificate. Transcripts and certificates not in English or German must be submitted in the original language alongside an official, certified German or English translation.
