Akademie-Forum: Nora Bossong

„Vier Versuche über das Böse“

Nora Bossong

Prof. Dr. Jacob Eder

How does evil come into history - and does evil exist at all? Nora Bossong, one of the most important authors of her generation, explores different facets of evil: starting with the character of Mephisto in Goethe's Faust, exploring the "banality of evil" in the Third Reich or the political rhetoric in the United States over the last decades, she concludes with the social conflicts of our fragmented present. What have we learned from these encounters with evil?

The event will take place in the Mozart Auditorium of the Barenboim-Said Akademie.

Registration is required; admission is free.
