During the Pierre Boulez Saal’s opening season, Sir András Schiff—Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Barenboim-Said Akademie—began a multiyear cycle to present the major keyboard works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Following the “Goldberg” Variations, the Piano Partitas, the Well-Tempered Clavier, and, most recently, the English Suites, the series now comes to a close with Bach’s set of six French Suites.
