Barenboim-Said Akademie Master Classes

2 - 12 October 2019

The Barenboim-Said Akademie presents for the first time a series of master classes for piano, stringed instruments and chamber music, taking place from 2 - 12 October 2019 in Berlin. The intensive education programme is open to musicians from all over the world who are embarking on their professional careers. Faculty will include world-renowned musicians: Daniel Barenboim and Sir András Schiff (piano), Mihaela Martin and Chaim Taub (violin), Yuri Bashmet (viola), Frans Helmerson and Steven Isserlis (cello), and Arnold Steinhardt (chamber music). The series culminates in public concerts of the participants at the Pierre Boulez Saal.

The Barenboim-Said Akademie Master Classes provide young musicians - as soloists or as part of a pre-existing ensemble - with a possibility to specifically gather practical stage experience and repertory knowledge. They run independently of the curricular programming of the Barenboim-Said Akademie, and take place outside the Academic Calendar.
