Alexander Technique


Born in Berlin in 1955, Sibylle Havemann has been teaching musicians for over 20 years. She has a background in psychology and has been teaching Alexander Technique since 1995.

Havemann has taught at Folkwang-Universität Essen, the Mozarteum Salzburg Summer Academy, as well as in cooperation with the German Music Council (Deutscher Musikrat) and the Dirigentenforum.

She currently teaches Alexander Technique at the Barenboim-Said Academy to help students improve their physical movements so they perform with greater skill, less stress and less likelihood of injury.
