Having appeared several times as a member of the Boulez Ensemble, hornist Ben Goldscheider now makes his recital debut at the Pierre Boulez Saal, just a few weeks before graduating from the Barenboim- Said Akademie. In addition to performing solo pieces by Jörg Widmann and Esa-Pekka Salonen, he is joined by pianist Giuseppe Guarrera—fellow Akademie graduate and heard in a solo recital last season—in works by Beethoven, Schumann, Bowen, and Kirchner.
