Musical Perspectives is a collaborative project designed to develop skills in storytelling and content curation through music. In the inspiring setting of the Pierre Boulez Saal—the concert hall of the Akademie—students from the music mediation class recorded a piece of their choice while gaining hands-on experience in simple-means recording techniques and video production, guided by fellow student and professional content creator Eesa Khoury.
But the project goes beyond beautifully documented performances. It includes insightful video clips where students share background on the pieces they recorded, reflect on their personal connections to the music, and explore the stories behind it.
By creating versatile content and honing our communication skills, we aim to make classical music more relatable and accessible across diverse audiences and platforms. At the same time, we deepen our own engagement with the music, discovering new ways to connect with it through performance, text, and thought.
