The founding rector of the Barenboim-Said Akademie, Michael Naumann, will resign from his duties after his 80th birthday. He will be succeeded by Regula Rapp, currently rector of the Stuttgart University of Music and the Performing Arts. Naumann and Daniel Barenboim, GMD at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, are “extraordinarily happy” with the decision of the former chief dramaturg of the Staatsoper, trained cembalist and musicologist to return to Berlin.
